Mavis Discount Tire - They told me I needed a spring for my jeep liberty and had to buy a pair at $180.00 plus tax and labor, turns out I had no broken spring.
On April 14, 2017 I brought my 2005 jeep liberty to the Mavis Tire in Yorktown Heights, NY (see attached receipt) for a flat tire repair. They advised me when I picked up my jeep that I had a rear spring broken and I had to buy a pair because you cannot buy one.
The cost would be $180 plus tax and labor to install. I told them I would do this repair at a later date. I ended up at this Mavis Tire again on July 11, 2017 for another tire repair, my censor value was damaged on the right rear tire. No other tire was damaged, however, when I picked it up they told me that the front right tire censor valve was damaged also.
Instead of putting a rubber valve on the tire, because I could not afford to pay for another valve that day but told them I would have the $ the next day to fix it, they let me leave with a damaged valve and the tire went completely flat as I was driving and I had no idea they would leave the tire in that condition. I always have my children in this vehicle and this could have been very tragic if I had an accident because of this tire. (copy of receipt also attached). I will never go back to this Mavis Tire.
In the past, I have used them for all my repairs for the past 14 years. I wonder know how many repairs I paid for that were not necessary. It turns out the next day on July 12, 2017 I took my jeep to another place to have this right front tire fixed and they confirmed with me that I do not have a rear spring broken.
Please do something about this horrible service from one of your facilities. I would like to be compensated.

Next time you go to a tire shop ( legitimate or slimy like this one ) make sure you can at least afford a valve stem.
