I had my car fixed at Mavis in sycamore, IL.I had brought the car in for the same issues in Oct 2019,The same wheel barring had to be replaced. I was not charged for the defective part, but was charged for a service fee of $120.00.I went home and told my husband & he said that if the part they put on my car was defective, that I should of NOT have to pay for a service charge. I do bring a lot of business to Mavis, we have 2 vehicle's.I will not be returning to Mavis in the future.I even call customer service twice & both times told me that I should have had the wheel replaced at no charge.

Went to pick up my car the next day was informed the manager had my keys. She didn't work that day. Didn't realize it was company policy for a manager to take keys to customers cars home. Wont be returning to the store..

Complaint about management

Per Valerie Washington had appointment on May 9th at 10, after checking my vehicle I was told I needed two tire sensors replace, they didn't have any at that time, they will order should be ready on Thursday, May 14th, they will let me know, I got an email reminder for appointment May 16th, I show up the black manager ask may I help you, I told him my name and I have appointment today for tire sensor replacement and I got an email to remind me. He told me not today, I said I have an appointment, he said can you come Sunday, Monday, I said no, he didn't apologize to reschedule or say the reason why they couldn't honor my appointment. That's not professional.

4 new tires 1 had a perfect circle rip

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I recently had 4 new tires put on my Malibu at the Vineland location in NJ. They were done 2 in January and then 2 in March. My back driver side tire somehow had a cut in a perfect circle all the way around the inside of the tire. My Malibu is low to the ground so no one could have crawled under my car and cut a perfect circle on my tire. Went back and told them that i have to stop and get air every other day, and they told me all the above and then said that something got stuck in this thing under my car by the tire and cut the tire then fell out ? Well they did nothing to remedy the situation except expecting more money for another tire. They let the customer leave unhappy and didn't care. I also had an alignment done. It took so long for 2 tires and an alignment I was falling asleep. I expected a wait but not 4 hours. Not happy with the service not happy my tire is now flat. Worried about how I'm going to get food for my family during this crisis. Not happy. Not at all.

We have had 3 vehicles that we purchased tires for when it was Kaufman Tire. Now that it is Mavis, this place has become awful. We had a trip planned to go to the mountains this past weekend 12/7/19. My dad took his car for oil change, top fluids, and tire check. We are at the cabin and i noticed his back rear tire looked low. He said he just had them checked. Then my wife had her car in for tire rotation, plug tire, and oil change. When she gets up to the cabin i noticed her rear tire was low. It's the same tire with the screw in it and it hadn't been rotated!!! They kept her there for 2 1/2 hours. They even said they topped of her fluids and i checked and the washer fluid and power steering fluids were both on the "need to add" levels. This is *** POOR SERVICE by Mavis Employees!!!

I had a horrible experience with David in phils. Same story, lies, horrible service.

I'm scared to even drive my car in snow because 2 of them looked used. Had oil change and they said they do not too off fluids really. Also never offered senior discount like they advertise. Talked to customer service no satisfaction.

Will never use them again. But I'm sure they don't care

Turn away and over priced

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Visited my local store, Walterboro SC. I was the 3rd customer and we were all told the work, tire/rim change couldn't be performed today, open 9-5. Was also quoted that a tire break down, swapping the TPMS to the new rim would be $120-$130 per tire! How can this be right? This was a locally owned (Hill Tire) up til a few years ago, never this way. I know Mavis is a company owned business but the local location is ridicules.

Stay AWAY!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
In mid-October 2019 we took our Ram 1500 to the local (Clemmons, NC) Mavis store to get brakes done. They told us that pads were the only thing that needed to be completed, approximate amount $200. My husband spend a few hours waiting for the vehicle to get done, which given a Saturday is understandable. In February (4 months later), there was a rattle sound coming from the front end of the vehicle when driving on bumpier road surfaces. Took to another auto shop to see what was the problem; after a few hours they were able to determine that the calipers were missing bolts as a result of a faulty brake job on the front passenger side of the vehicle. Costing an additional $80. Called customer service and started explaining the situation; when they asked if I took to the local shop and I stated I did not, they acted like the call was dropping and hung up on me. That afternoon I went to the local Mavis store only to be told they will take the information even though it wasn't possible for this type of error to occur and would follow up with corporate. The manager's condecending manner did not leave much confidence that anything would be done about the issue we encountered. After research, an error of this magnitude could have caused serious injury or death should the brakes have failed at anytime we didn't know this issue existed. With a newly permitted teenager learning to drive on this vehicle; could have caused mental distress if they'd been driving if a brake failure occurred.

Well we can definitely tell you have a serious lack of automotive knowledge. Odds are the bolts fell out of you would have had the noise the moment you pulled out.

You’re trying to hold them responsible for your choices on what roads you drove on. You’re also trying to play the victim and make them out to be a old style cartoon villain. After four months it’s the roads you drove on that rattled the bolts out. Of course you did t take it back to the shop the work was done at.

They would have called you on that BS!

You’re just looking for anyone else to take the responsibility that was yours 100%. Grow up.

I can’t tell if you are the manager from the store or a troll that has nothing better to do than talk *** about something and someone you know nothing about... that was the quickest response after posting!!

Brake caliper bolts should never come loose, regardless of what type of roads you drive on. They should stay put until the next brake job.

Sounds like they weren't torqued properly, and loosened up over time. Then eventually fell out.
