2020 Mavis installed wrong size tire, too small, on my son's car. Should have been brand new set.
Tire blew out. It was an argument with them before they acknowledged their mistake. 12/20, I bought tires that offered a discount with coupon. I was scheduled one day after expiration of coupon and it was an argument before acknowledging their delay in scheduling.
2/21 Supplied front brakes, tire rod and rear rotors, only to learn at another garage 10/21, cause they couldn't schedule me in, the rotors were never placed on the rear and never returned. So I'm believing I had new rear rotors on my car until I was told different. As compensation I was issued credit that was supposed to cover cost of swaybar repair. However, today I'm asked for my credit slip supposedly emailed to me from Regional Mgr.
I knew nothing about a slip and why is it needed especially when the Regional Mgr was with him, a party to the conversation when the appointment and payment was discussed. Frustrated, the service mgr said, "there is no charge", handed my keys not providing paperwork they ever worked on, removed, replaced or touched my car.
It just such a "nasty" attitude to deal with, lies told, stress and confrontational attitudes just to do business with the garage. I'm looking for better experience when I look for service!!

I had my oil changed on the early part of December when I drove home I could smell oil I assume they spilled some either on the engine or the manifold come to find out that they over tightened my oil filter now my oil filter housing is cracked and it's a very expensive job every time I took it back there I spoke to Anthony or Ed and they told me that it wasn't their fault but being that I only go to them for my oil changes I feel that they are responsible to fix it with no charge to myself I would like a comment or reply back otherwise I'm going to have to speak with my lawyer and I will take this to the fullest extent of the law, my phone number here is 570-236-**** I would like a reply ASAP thank you!do not go there

Aprox july 20th 2021 i had mavis replace my whole front end in my 14 vw jetta 1.8t se mk6. Withing 3 months my car had a bad clunk/noise coming from the front end.
Well 6 sat 6 weekends i had brought it back to mavis with the same problem. They replaced the suspension 3 times and 4 tie rods later. Nothing changed. I decided that specific mavis (fishkill mavis and tire in new york) wasnt for me.
I have been going there over 15 years. So indecided to go to the one in Hopewell junction Ny. Steve there at the time told me it wasnt the suspension but the lower control arm was shot. He charged me a great price and told me the shocks they put in were not monroe struts and shocks and replaced it with name brand.
No issues for 6 months until now. Hearing the same issue from the front end. Steve left at the time so i went to wappingers fall ny on old post road. They mentioned to me that they hear a noise but couldnt pin point it.
Well hear we go again!!. This should be covered under warrenty as ive been dealing with the same issue ever since they replaced the first suspension from the very first visit. I would like this resolved immediately.
And i know whats going to happen the shocks and suspension is going to go out of warrenty and then ill have to pay another $800.00 of repairs to get situation is resolved. Im a very unhappy 15+ year customer and deserve a responce and a fix to this situation immediatly.

Tire Repair
I purchased a set of new tires from Mavis on 11/10/2021 with purchased warranty on all tires. On January 5 on my way to work I hit something in the road and my tire immediately deflated.
I took my care to Mavis to have the tire repaired or replaced. They told me the tire would need to be replaced, never advised me the cost or anything before putting the new tire on the car. After the tire was put on my car, they tell me my cost is $191.00 including balancing the tire, they prorated the tires 50%. I clearly stated I have a warranty on the tire, why am I paying nearly full price for a tire.
I ONLY HAD THE TIRE FOR A MONTH AND HALF. Furthermore, I have not put even 500 miles on the tire. They then changed the pro-rate to 25%, which changed my cost to $48.00 plus $19.99 for balancing, really, what a rip-off.
This tire should have been a free replacement, warranty was useless. I will never use their service again.

Great service and no charge
On a very cold night in Gates, NY my tire pressure alert went on. Luckily the Mavis location in Gates on Spencerport Rd was still open and the rep put air in my tires and said my one back passenger tire was very low.
I asked if I could pull it in and have them look at it. I had 2 nails in my tire and they at first thought it could not be repaired due to the size of the hole. A 2nd rep offered to look at it and after quite a long time he was able to repair the tire thankfully. When I went to pay the bill I was told no charge because of how long it took to repair the tire.
Wow!
I could not believe it. The staff at this location were so great and I was so grateful to them!
