Frustrated relationship

2020 Mavis installed wrong size tire, too small, on my son's car. Should have been brand new set.

Tire blew out. It was an argument with them before they acknowledged their mistake. 12/20, I bought tires that offered a discount with coupon. I was scheduled one day after expiration of coupon and it was an argument before acknowledging their delay in scheduling.

2/21 Supplied front brakes, tire rod and rear rotors, only to learn at another garage 10/21, cause they couldn't schedule me in, the rotors were never placed on the rear and never returned. So I'm believing I had new rear rotors on my car until I was told different. As compensation I was issued credit that was supposed to cover cost of swaybar repair. However, today I'm asked for my credit slip supposedly emailed to me from Regional Mgr.

I knew nothing about a slip and why is it needed especially when the Regional Mgr was with him, a party to the conversation when the appointment and payment was discussed. Frustrated, the service mgr said, "there is no charge", handed my keys not providing paperwork they ever worked on, removed, replaced or touched my car.

It just such a "nasty" attitude to deal with, lies told, stress and confrontational attitudes just to do business with the garage. I'm looking for better experience when I look for service!!

A complaint

I had my oil changed on the early part of December when I drove home I could smell oil I assume they spilled some either on the engine or the manifold come to find out that they over tightened my oil filter now my oil filter housing is cracked and it's a very expensive job every time I took it back there I spoke to Anthony or Ed and they told me that it wasn't their fault but being that I only go to them for my oil changes I feel that they are responsible to fix it with no charge to myself I would like a comment or reply back otherwise I'm going to have to speak with my lawyer and I will take this to the fullest extent of the law, my phone number here is 570-236-**** I would like a reply ASAP thank you!do not go there

Unsatisfied customer

Aprox july 20th 2021 i had mavis replace my whole front end in my 14 vw jetta 1.8t se mk6. Withing 3 months my car had a bad clunk/noise coming from the front end.

Well 6 sat 6 weekends i had brought it back to mavis with the same problem. They replaced the suspension 3 times and 4 tie rods later. Nothing changed. I decided that specific mavis (fishkill mavis and tire in new york) wasnt for me.

I have been going there over 15 years. So indecided to go to the one in Hopewell junction Ny. Steve there at the time told me it wasnt the suspension but the lower control arm was shot. He charged me a great price and told me the shocks they put in were not monroe struts and shocks and replaced it with name brand.

No issues for 6 months until now. Hearing the same issue from the front end. Steve left at the time so i went to wappingers fall ny on old post road. They mentioned to me that they hear a noise but couldnt pin point it.

Well hear we go again!!. This should be covered under warrenty as ive been dealing with the same issue ever since they replaced the first suspension from the very first visit. I would like this resolved immediately.

And i know whats going to happen the shocks and suspension is going to go out of warrenty and then ill have to pay another $800.00 of repairs to get situation is resolved. Im a very unhappy 15+ year customer and deserve a responce and a fix to this situation immediatly.

I went to Mavis tire on Delaware Avenue in Buffalo ny for a tire repair and rotation. First time I went I had a appointment waited 2 hours car was still not In shop . When I asked the manager Jeff why he said all of his tire tecks were late and there was nothing he could do. I rescheduled for the following week was first on at shop that morning again car sat in lot for a few hours. I stood in lot next to my car and called shop. I was told my cars in on the lift being worked on obviously they were lying. .when I told him I was in lot by my car he had no answer. Finally my car was taken in it again sat. They finally fixed flat but then tried selling me 2 upper controll arms which were not bad confirmed that later at Ford dealership. They never rotated my tires and were very condescending in speaking to me. I called in complaint to company 3 separate times and 3 weeks later still no return call from Cory. WHY do you sell tire protection warranty if you don't honor them. I will be taking this much farther then Mavis as you refuse to resolve this issue.

On September 1 I purchased for a new tire from the Mavis discount tire store located at 69 East Sunrise Highway in Freeport. After having my vehicle for over five hours eventually I call for & update,was told vehicle was ready to pick up. On arrival I noticed the tires on the vehicle seem to be tires that has been used or from some other places but definitely not what you expect when you purchase four brand new tires. I had a conversation with the manager and was told that his whole Mavis does business. Ps. Wish I could upload a picture of the tire.

Extremely bad experience

To start off I have been a member of Mavis for several years Ive bought tires I have bought extended warranties recently I went to use a warranty on the tire The person named Brian said I did not have any I asked him please look again because I have it on to Cars he came back and he said no you dont have any. I called Fred who is manager there for a few years he did rectify the situation as he always does this is in Somers point New Jersey I then went to them for an estimate on total brakes I was given the estimate knowing that all brakes needed to be done the price I was given was $449. Being a little skeptic I called back two days before the job was done and I talk to Jose instead of Jose punching it up he asked me how much was it when I told him $449 he said well then thats what it is and I asked him are you sure he said yes. When I arrive Monday morning they asked me why I was there I Splaine because I have an appointment to get my brakes done and left for 30 minutes or so.Upon arriving they asked me what exactly I want it done and I said the four brakes as we discussed and they told me that the price that was given to me was only for one axle even after I told Brian to do all four and he told me that for how to get on yet he gave me an estimate for one axle. I was quite angry that no one understood from Friday to Monday what was going on I did yell at both of them I returned to Jose and apologized and asked what is the best price you could do for me today and it came to 700+ tax. I was fine with that but the next day while I was driving I got a very bad noise and grinding from my back brake. While being in the area I took it over they put it up in about an hour later they found that the tech that was working on it left part of a tour wedged in there somewhere. again no apologies nothing was written down and now my brake sensor is going off even though I was supposed to have four changed so now I am extremely beside myself in what to do. How can a brake job be continuously messed up now I do not know whether to take it back there or take it somewhere else to find out what this other problem is.This has cost me too much time and too much effort for a simple break job!!! I am looking forward to hearing from the district manager so you know what exactly is going on and how were going to rectify my situation and possibly that break has been damaged because of negligence. I was not even sent a survey after the work in which I always had when Fred was running that location. This is the worst experience I have ever had and I have had all three vehicles worked on by Mavis and very dismayed at this point that I may never come back!!!

I've tried many times to get a refund on services performed there that I had to have fixed by another mechanic. My new mechanic was able to find the problem which was due to Mavis' installation error. The only solution Mavis could come up with was to have Mavis perform the work again (which would have been the third time). I will NEVER visit any Mavis again.

Stay away from the Beloit Wisconsin location out on Milwaukee County.!!i They broke the top spout on the coolant filler neck that leads to the over flow tank during the complete coolant flush and then put a bolt in the broken stub to plug it, then put the hose over the bolt head to try and hide their mistake. When I confronted them the next morning, they denied it happened at their shop. They said they would find and order me a new coolant filler neck, but this is a hard part to locate... I have not heard anything more from them regarding getting a replacement part.

Tire Repair

I purchased a set of new tires from Mavis on 11/10/2021 with purchased warranty on all tires. On January 5 on my way to work I hit something in the road and my tire immediately deflated.

I took my care to Mavis to have the tire repaired or replaced. They told me the tire would need to be replaced, never advised me the cost or anything before putting the new tire on the car. After the tire was put on my car, they tell me my cost is $191.00 including balancing the tire, they prorated the tires 50%. I clearly stated I have a warranty on the tire, why am I paying nearly full price for a tire.

I ONLY HAD THE TIRE FOR A MONTH AND HALF. Furthermore, I have not put even 500 miles on the tire. They then changed the pro-rate to 25%, which changed my cost to $48.00 plus $19.99 for balancing, really, what a rip-off.

This tire should have been a free replacement, warranty was useless. I will never use their service again.

Great service and no charge

On a very cold night in Gates, NY my tire pressure alert went on. Luckily the Mavis location in Gates on Spencerport Rd was still open and the rep put air in my tires and said my one back passenger tire was very low.

I asked if I could pull it in and have them look at it. I had 2 nails in my tire and they at first thought it could not be repaired due to the size of the hole. A 2nd rep offered to look at it and after quite a long time he was able to repair the tire thankfully. When I went to pay the bill I was told no charge because of how long it took to repair the tire.

Wow!

I could not believe it. The staff at this location were so great and I was so grateful to them!

I went to Mavis Discount Tire {very far from discount} in East Rutherford, NJ, I asked for a front right headlight for a Jeep Liberty 2006, it took less than 2 minutes for the person to replace the old burned headlight for the new one. I was charged for the service $59.29 dollars. I was told the headlight was expensive {$29.00} because it was a premium light. I left the shop and on my way home I checked the price of the headlight on the web and I found out the light cost is only $7.99, the market up is too much same with was I charged for labor. Based on my experience, I will suggest avoiding Midas, they are not honest. They will rob you. Furthermore, I contacted Midas Costumer Service, on Dec 06, 2021 and as of today I have not received a call back from their costumer relations department,
